When December arrives at Sottovento, you can see it, and above all, smell it: the scent of biscuits, panettone and herbal teas lingers everywhere.
Alongside our year-round artisan offerings, a Christmas selection takes centre stage, designed to bring an authentic taste of mountain hospitality to your table, or under your tree.
There’s no fixed list: it changes from year to year, shaped by seasonality and the inspiration of our skilled staff, but the guiding thread stays the same, carefully chosen, quality ingredients, thoughtful packaging and artisan craftsmanship, with no shortcuts.
The selection features festive classics reinterpreted in our own way, panettone leavened with care, jams made from mountain fruit, biscuits for the pantry or for gifting, chocolates that speak to the work of our maître chocolatier, alongside a few more unexpected proposals, such as liqueurs and spirits perfect for closing out a dinner or taking centre stage in a small family toast.
The selection is refreshed every year: the best way to find out what this year’s edition includes is to stop by in person, or write directly to our staff to ask what’s currently available.

Give the gift of flavour and tradition
Alongside the products for sale, the festive season is also the time for our Christmas Hampers: gift compositions made to order, bringing together several items from our workshop, from panettone to chocolates, from jams to liqueurs, into a single proposal designed with the recipient in mind.
There’s no standard hamper: each one is built together with the customer, whether it’s a gift for the family, a corporate gift for colleagues, or a thoughtful gesture for someone who can’t be in Bormio this Christmas.

This service is designed both for hotel guests and for anyone who simply wants to order a hamper for local pickup or delivery: all it takes is a request with your preferences (sweet, savoury, with or without alcohol, budget range), keeping in mind that preparation times get tighter the closer we get to December 24th.
